Many Hoosiers are disappointed to hear that Governor Mitch Daniels will not run for president this year, even in the event of a brokered convention in which none of the candidates gather the necessary votes to be the Republican Party’s nominee. Many feel that he could easily secure the nomination if he were to run, but the deadlines to be placed on the ballot have passed for many of the states’ primaries, including Indiana’s.
