The presence of measles in Indiana continues to grow as state health officials have confirmed 13 cases of the disease in central Indiana. These cases involve both children and adults and all 13 are residents of either Boone or Hamilton Counties.  The State Department of Health is working with local health organizations to help prevent further transmission but they say the best protection is to get vaccinated.  Symptoms of the measles include fever, runny nose, cough and a rash that spreads all over the body.   Individuals with these symptoms should stay away from others and contact their physician as soon as possible.
