TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WIBQ) - A contingent of local law enforcement officers will head to the Statehouse today, taking their argument to ban over the counter sales of products containing pseudoephedrine, directly to lawmakers. Vigo County Sheriff John Marvel will be speaking to legislators about the meth problem in Vigo County and the Wabash Valley.

Marvel hopes law-makers will decide to make products with pseudoephedrine, an ingredient in meth, only available by prescription only. Several pharmacies in the area are already requiring a prescription for products with the ingredient. In addition to the Sheriff other local law enforcement officers and the county prosecutor, will attend the study committee meeting.
