TERRE HAUTE (WIBQ)- Help is on the way to about 80,000 unemployed people in the hoosier state. Indiana residents will be able to file for an extension of unemployment benefits starting next week. To obtain the retroactive benefits, vouchers will have to be filled out using the state's on line filing system beginning August 3.
Vouchers filed between August 3 through the 6 will be paid within 48 hours according to officials. WorkOne Centers will also be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to handle increased claims on those days.
